Learn More About How LA Galaxy Is Incorporating Sensory Training Into Their Program

WHY USE SENAPTEC FOR YOUR TRAINING?

Sensory training helps you process the game more efficiently. With faster processing and reaction, you have more time to read the field, make the critical pass, or shoot more accurately. Senaptec evaluates and improves fundamental visual skills.

For example, better visual clarity helps you see the ball in play. Enhanced perception span helps you recognize patterns so you can respond quicker. Multiple object tracking keeps you aware of all players on the field and their movements. Faster reaction time gives you the ability to make the right movement at the right time. For these skills and much more, sensory training is a game changer.

How To Incorporate Senaptec Into Your Training

During Warm-Up

Add the Strobes into the mix by simply wearing them during your normal warm-up routine. This makes the warm-up much harder and at the same time activates your senses pre-training. Both traditional warm-ups and specific strobe drills with HECOstix and tennis balls can be used.

On-Field Practice

Add the Strobes into your skill development work. Just like resistance training - by using the Strobes, the athlete augments a skill drill to increase the difficulty, complexity and intensity so that come Gameday the execution of the skills is perceptively easier and more efficient.

Gym Workouts

Strobes and the Sensory Station can be used to do micro training doses between physical preparation exercises. These may be balance and coordination drills between heavy strength training which is great to optimize the time between reps in the gym and create greater stimulus. For example, the athlete does a set on the bench press and then transitions to the Sensory Station and does a 30 second drill using multiple object tracking or put on the Strobes for box jumps, ladder agility, balance or eye-hand coordination drills.

Pre-Game & Low Impact Activation

The Strobes are a great tool for pre-game preparation to add stimulus. This is a low impact activity on level 1-2 and is done to get your sensory system activated and primed for game time. You can simply wear the Strobes while you are getting your gear ready, during a light traditional warm-up, or while doing simple eye-hand coordination drills with tennis balls, football catches, juggling, etc.
